Privacy Statement
Effective date: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Statement describes how DPOBOARD LLC ("DPOBOARD," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with this website, dpoboard.com (the "Site"). It applies to visitors of the Site and does not apply to information we process on behalf of clients as part of a client engagement, which is governed separately by the applicable engagement agreement.
1. Who We Are
DPOBOARD LLC is a privacy services and regulatory compliance firm headquartered at 1699 Wall Street, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. For any question about this Privacy Statement or how your information is handled, contact us at info@dpoboard.com.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure (Microsoft Azure) automatically logs standard technical information for security and operational purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We do not currently run any analytics or advertising tracking scripts on this Site.
Cookies
We use a cookie consent system that lets you control four categories of cookies:
- Necessary — required for the Site to function (for example, keeping staff signed in to the internal review area). These cannot be disabled and are the only category currently active on the Site.
- Functional — would remember preferences you set on the Site. Not currently in use.
- Analytics — would help us understand aggregate site usage. Not currently in use — no analytics script is loaded on this Site today.
- Marketing — would support advertising personalization. Not currently in use — no marketing script is loaded on this Site today.
You can review or change your cookie choices at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer.
3. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form.
- To operate, secure, and maintain the Site.
- To honor the cookie preferences you set.
Our legal basis for processing contact-form submissions is our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries about our services, and, where applicable, your consent. Our legal basis for non-essential cookies is your consent, given (or withheld) through the cookie preference center.
4. Retention
Contact-form submissions are delivered to us by email via Azure Communication Services and are not stored in a separate marketing database — they are retained in our email system in line with our normal business record-keeping practices. Technical hosting logs are retained by our infrastructure provider according to standard operational log retention periods. Your cookie preference is retained for up to one year or until you change it, whichever comes first.
5. Third Parties
We use Microsoft Azure to host the Site, run its database, and deliver email (including contact-form notifications) via Azure Communication Services. These providers act as our processors and do not use your information for their own purposes. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time (which will not affect processing that already occurred). We do not use your information for any solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@dpoboard.com.
7. International Data Transfers
The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Statement
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Complaints and Contact
If you have concerns about how we handle your information, please contact us first at info@dpoboard.com so we can try to resolve it directly. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with a data protection authority, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
